Japan-based Nissan Motor Corp. will cut 9,000 jobs and 20 percent of its global manufacturing capacity, the automaker announced Thursday. It is unclear how the cuts will affect Nissan’s U.S. headquarters (Nissan North America Inc.) in Cool Springs or its manufacturing facility in Smyrna.
